The LEGO Vidiyo theme has flopped for a lot of LEGO fans. That may have been, because of the app. The sets themselves are more interesting in my opinion. In todays blog we'll take a look at the LEGO Vidiyo Alien DJ BeatBox. The set came out in 2021 with 73 pieces, one minifigure and retailed for 20.00 Euros. But is it worth it?
You can see the minifigure very well on the front of the box. On the back you can see the BeatBox. We'll also get an instruction manual, that can be folded and which is very easy to understand. There're no stickers included in this set.
The set is going to be built very quickly. Shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes. The box and the handle haven't been packed in a bag.
The Alien DJ looks very cool and may be popular by collectors. The figure is printed on all sides and looks very genius with this colour combination.
The set has a podium for the figure, which can be taken out of the box. If you fold out the walls, you can see the covers of the vinyls. On the back of the box you can see a piece of art. Similar to the Creator sets you can choose one of three art works. This serves as a lid for a secret area: It includes the rest of the covers and a vinyl. The tiles can be scanned with the app.
I think, that the set is better than the app. The BeatBox sets are very collectible, because of the minifigures. Even the exclusive tiles could have some value for collectors. That doesn't change the fact, that the app failed at theend. I would recommend you to buy the minifig and the tiles on a website like BrickLink. The rest serves more as a parts pack.
